Instructions - Sharing of Assets:
On every campus, an International will bring a cultural or social token or object from home which indicates the uniqueness of their culture and society. These are assets.
Also assets is the awareness of a folk dance, song which has real significant and historic repute, as well as knowledge of local artists within ones home society. These are knowledged assets.
Collectively, and through out the United States' campuses, there exist a very great museum of a sort, as well as something which in itself could make several broadway musicals, and a hollywood movie or two.
And it is all starts by one cultural icon there IE. American University, Washington DC, and International cultural artifact over there, IE. Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah and added, among others together at Texas A & M and you got one hell of a great International Cultural Fiesta .
Thus you know what is meant as assets. Objects experiences - knowledge all equally important.
Important too, are those consulates who in their nations wisdoms has sent cultural exhibits, and other information concerning their culture and society.
But all this together on a wider directory, then the ability to manisfest bigger and better programing becomes possible. Once this is comprehended, then the additional financial subsidies will follow. Both internally in the US, and then from the home country-whichmust have us knowledge and at times permission-depending upon the state involved ( this is extremely imprtant for you to understand too ).
The assurance of these programs being opportunities has been a well acknowledged undertanding by all. It is for that reason why President James R. Carter issued a Presidential order to the F.B.I. and others a hands off when it came to screening the activities of campus Internationals. It is the only element of resistance which still exists.

Mr. Roger M. Christian
